While many antiques dealers can make the claim that they are “green”, Shane Brown, owner of Big Daddy’s Antiques, takes that distinction to a new level. Brown is an avid collector of architectural relics. Repurposing parts from early 20th-century American factories and converting them into truly one-of-a-kind tables of prominence and grandeur has become a specialty. Brown has reused the lanes from bowling alleys and reclaimed wood from abandoned barns to create sophisticated table top and has used machinery parts to fashion peerless table bases. One of Brown’s recent creations is the conversion of a vent that you normally see on a roof top into a ruggedly handsome lamp.
